Get to know Matt

My passion is to lead men and women through seasons of transformative growth that enable them to live into their world with impact and to bring hope and healing to others.  I currently serve as the Director of The Journey Christian Counseling, as well as on the pastoral staff at Crossroads Bible Church as the Men’s Pastor, and part of the counseling and care ministry.  As a pastor and counselor, I have spent the last 20 years of my life walking with people through all kinds of personal and relational concerns, struggles and trauma.  I have particular experience and interest in men’s issues, freedom from sexual addictions and sexual abuse recovery. I have had the privilege of leading groups of all kinds and have developed a love for guiding wilderness retreats for men and fathers and sons.  My hope is that you will find TJCC to be a clinically relevant, client-centered, and relational environment where you can meet God, and feel comfortable to be yourself and pursue healing in your story.

When I’m not working, I enjoy being in the outdoors camping and fishing, spending time with my wife and 3 kids, watching college and pro football, having coffee with a friend, or visiting one of Michigan’s great breweries.
